FALL OPEN HOUSE (for enrolled students)- Friday, Aug. 10th, 4:00-7:00pm, &
Saturday, Aug. 11th, 12:00-3:00pm (reminder will be mailed in late July).  Please
come by the studio for shoe fitting and clothing and bag orders... oh, yeah, and
some munchies!  Payment is due when ordering, see our Merchandise page for
selection and prices.

Also, be sure to come support our BGA Dancers (performing at the Alamo Bowl in
Dec.) at their
Aug. 4th Carhop For Tips at (south) Sonic 11p-5p, and Aug.
11th BiCenter Concessions during the Fair 3p-7p.

SEPTEMBER        Classes begin Tuesday, Sept. 4th!  REMINDERS!  1) Include
your dancer's name and expense in your check memo, & 2) Put your dancer's
name in their shoes, clothes and bags.  
OCTOBER        Non-refundable Recital Fee of $30/family is due by Wed., Oct.
31st.  What is the Recital Fee for?  See the
Recital page.  A late fee of $10/mo.

the recital.  Sun., Oct. 14th is the Guns & Hoses fundraiser between local law
enforcement and firemen to raise funds for the new Salina Red Cross building.

NOVEMBER        Dancers vote on costumes between $30-$50 each, costume fees
will be due the first week of February.  Dance costumes' catalog pictures will be
displayed in a binder on the front desk.  Thanksgiving Break -

DECEMBER       Students will be measured for recital costumes.  Costumes will be
ordered, & billing statements will be sent during Break for costume expense (due in
February).  Once costumes are ordered, you are liable for your costume expense.  
A costume can only be canceled within 2 weeks of the order date, and with a $15
cancel fee per costume, so please let us know before Break if you will
not be in the
May recital.  Also, watch the collegiate Alamo Bowl football game on the evening of
the 29th, and look for our 15 BGA dancers in the halftime show!  Christmas Break!  
STUDIO CLOSED Monday, Dec. 24th - Thursday, Jan. 3rd. Thank you and

JANUARY        HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Classes resume Monday, Jan. 7th, 2008!  We
DO have classes on Martin Luther King Day.  Costume cancel fee of $15 per
costume up until Jan. 15th, after which you are liable for the full expense of your
costume.  
FEBRUARY        Costume fees are due with your February payment (first
lesson of the month).  Due to business cards' interest fees, all late costume
payments will be charged an additional $10 per costume effective 2/8/07, and on
the 8th of each following month until paid for.  
Parents' Watch Week: 2/25-2/28  (the last 15 min. of their last class)
MARCH        The 2nd $10 per costume late fee for unpaid costumes will be
applied March 8th. Sign-up and pay for recital
tights (if you don't already have
some), recital
t-shirts, and last-chance dance shoes by Thur., Mar. 13th.  
Summer/Fall forms for 200
8-2009 and forms for recital pictures, recital videos and
recital
bouquets will be mailed/passed out, along with an important recital letter.  
Please read it carefully!  
After recital, registration forms from new students will be accepted, so get your
registration forms and fees in to reserve your spot ASAP!
Spring Break -
NO CLASSES - Monday, Mar. 19th - Thursday, Mar. 22nd.
APRIL        Make sure you have no outstanding balances so your dancer may
participate in recital.  The 3rd $10 per costume late fee for unpaid costumes will
be applied April 8th.  All outstanding accounts will be called to the back of the
auditorium before recital to pay their account balance in full, or their dancer will
not be allowed to dance on stage, nor will they be allowed to register for the
following year.

Dance Competition in Wichita:  Sunday, April 11th
Dancers for Cancer at Central High, Sunday, April 27th, 2:00.  Tickets are $5.  
MAY        May tuition is half price!  
Rehearsals, Pre-K - 4th Pictures, & Recitals @ Salina South High Auditorium:
THURSDAY, 15th: (Recital #1's) Rehearsal & Pictures @ 6:30.
FRIDAY, 16th: (Recital #2's) Rehearsal & Pictures @ 6:30.
SATURDAY, 17th: Recital #1 @ 1:00.  Recital #2 @ 4:00.
Arrive 20-30 min. early for your Rehearsal and Recital.
Talent On Parade Competition in Wichita Sunday, May 11th.
March of Dimes' Walk America performance @ Jerry Ivey Park Gazebo Sun.,
May 4th.
(This is a copy of the 2006-2007 contract, revised in accordance with the Salina Dance Association)

CONTRACT OF AGREEMENT
(Please sign, date, and return with completed registration form and registration fee in order to enroll your dancer.)

REGISTRATION FEE - A non-refundable fee of $10.00 per student is due with your registration form and Contract of Agreement to reserve a
position.  The privilege of reserving spots for the Fall classes is reserved for current students only until recital.  After recital, all remaining
spots are open to those who fill them on a first-come, first-serve basis.

MONTHLY FEES - Due the first class session of every month.  If a family is enrolling more than one child, the first child's instruction is full
price.  
Additional siblings receive a $7.50/mo. discount.  Termination of services by the parent/guardian must be done in writing and dated,
or by speaking with the studio owner, in order to avoid future billing.  All payments may be brought to the studio during business hours,
mailed in , or deposited in the door mail slot.

RECITAL FEE - $30 per family due by October 31st for those who want to participate (non-refundable after Jan. 1st).  Recital costumes are
ordered during Christmas Break, after which parents are held liable for their child's costume expenses.  If you do NOT intend to get
costumes, you MUST inform the studio before Christmas Break, or pay a $15 per costume cancel fee.

DROP-OUT FEE - Students withdrawing from The Dance Academy in the 2nd semester (Jan. 1st thru the recital date) create problems for
the other dancers as well as the teachers, as choreography must be changed to accommodate their absence.  Therefore, a Drop-Out fee
equal to a month's tuition for the number of classes dropped will be assessed to your account.

LATE FEE - There is a $10 late fee per month for lessons paid after the month is past, as well as for late recital fees, and for late costume
fees.  This is non-negotiable.  You are allotted approximately a 4-week grace period to pay your monthly fee before a late fee is applied on
the 1st of the following month (on the 8th for costumes, beginning Feb. 8th).  Unpaid fees may result in expulsion from the recital, the
inability to sign up for future classes, and your debt being turned over to a collections agency.

RETURNED CHECK FEE - There will be a $25 charge on all returned checks.

I AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE ABOVE CONDITIONS STATED BY THE DANCE ACADEMY.  FURTHERMORE, I UNDERSTAND THAT FAILURE
TO COMPLY WITH THESE CONDITIONS MAY RESULT IN THE TERMINATION OF SERVICES PROVIDED TO ME BY THE DANCE
ACADEMY, AND ALL OUTSTANDING DEBTS SHALL BE PAID IN FULL BY THE RECITAL DATE.
